Grading the Mariners' 2026 Deadline
Meh
The trade deadline came and went Monday at 3 p.m. Pacific, and when the dust settled, the Mariners had made exactly two moves that mattered: they sold off Luis Castillo, and they bought back a corner outfield bat in Taylor Ward. Everything else, the Kirby rumors, the Hancock smoke, the entire “we’ll consider anything” posture from the front office, stayed rumors. That’s the deadline. A shrug.
